【軽バンキャンプ14-1】北軽井沢スウィートグラスで車中泊キャンプ(前編)

北軽井沢スウィートグラスの浅間ビューサイトで車中泊キャンプをして来ました。
we went camping overnight in our car at the Asama View Site of Kita Karuizawa Sweet Grass.

北軽井沢スウィートグラスで車中泊キャンプ(前編)

2023年10月中旬
mid October 2023,

国道17号を北へ。
Head north on Route 17.

途中所沢ICから関越自動車道に乗って、
On the way, take the Kanetsu Expressway from Tokorozawa gate and

碓氷軽井沢ICを目指す。
head for Usui Karuizawa exit.

今は雨降ってるけど午後にはやむらしい。
It’s raining now, but the forecast says it will stop in the afternoon.

本当に雨はやむのかな、って位の雲だったけど、
The clouds are so cloudy that I wondered if the rain would really stop,

碓氷軽井沢ICに着く頃、雨はやんだ。
The rain had stopped by the time we arrived at Usui Karuizawa exit.

碓氷軽井沢ICで高速道路を降りたら軽井沢の市街地を目指す。
After getting off the expressway at Usui Karuizawa exit, head towards the downtown area of Karuizawa.

途中、スーパーに寄って買い物。
Stop by the supermarket on the way and do some shopping.

軽井沢でスーパーと言えば、ツルヤ軽井沢店。
Speaking of supermarket in Karuizawa, it is Tsuruya Karuizawa.

買い出し終了。
Shopping is finished.

再びキャンプ場に向かう。
Head to the campsite.

霧が出てきた。
There was fog on the road.

左に行くと有料道路。
Toll road to the left.

ここを左折。浅間山キャンプ場にもこのルートから行けるよ。
Turn left here. You can also go to Mt. Asama campsite from this route.

まっすぐ進むとキャンプ場入り口が右側に見えてくる。
go straight and you will see the campsite entrance on your right.

キャンプ場に到着。
Arrive at camping ground.

ドライブスルーでチェックインしたら、
Check in at the drive-thru,

サイトに向かおう。
head to the campsite.

写真右手側が林間エリアで左手側が木立エリア。
The right side of the photo is the forest area, and the left side is the grove area.

開けた場所に出てきたら左折して、
When you come to an open area, turn left and

すぐに右折。
immediately turn right.

まっすぐ進んだ奥側が浅間ビューサイト。手前側は大空サイト。
Asama View Site is straight ahead. The front side is the Oozora site.

サイトに到着。
Arrived at the campsite.

浅間山は雲の中。
Mt. Asama is in the clouds.

そして隣は4人組のグループ。
Next to us was a group of four people.

最初えー、と思ったんだけど、
I thought it was over,

騒いだりする人達ではなかったので良かった。
It was a good thing that the people weren’t making a lot of noise.

とりあえず管理棟に行って薪買ってこよう。
For now, let’s go to the administration building and buy some firewood.

売店はもうハロウィンの雰囲気。
The store is already in the Halloween mood.

おっと、薪を買いに来たんだった。
Oh, I came here to buy firewood.

薪は薪ステーションで買える。
Firewood can be purchased at the firewood station.

今回買った薪はこれ、8本500円って安いね。
The firewood I bought this time is cheap at 500 yen for 8 pieces.

薪はこの袋に自分で入れる。袋は後で返しに来る。
I put firewood in this bag. I’ll return the bag later.

後で思ったんだけど、もう少し細い薪を選べば良かった。
I thought later that I should have chosen a thinner firewood.

料金は備え付けの箱へ。
Payment for firewood is placed in a box.

サイトに戻る前に管理棟近くにある施設紹介。
Before returning to the campsite, we will introduce the facilities near the administration building.

貸切お風呂の薪焚の湯。
Makitaki-no-yu is a private bath.

薪焚の湯の横にゴミステーション。
There is a garbage dump next to Makitaki-no-yu.

管理棟から浅間ビューサイトに戻る途中に
On the way back from the administration building to the Asama View Site,

炊事場とシャワールーム、トイレがあります。
there is a kitchen, shower room, and restroom.

ここの炊事場とトイレが一番近いかな。
close to the Asama View Site.

こんなに広い敷地なのに、なぜだか隣同士。
Even though the campsite is so large, they are right next to each other.

キャンプ場のスタッフに聞いてみたら、場所は変えても良いって言われたんだけど、もう一組後ろのサイトに予約が入ってるとのこと。
When I asked the staff at the campground, they said we could change locations, but there was another group booked behind us.

今いる4人組のおじさんグループはそれ程うるさくないし、後からきた人達がウェーイ系だったらもっと困るので場所はこのままで良いことにした。
The group of four people next to me wasn’t that noisy, and it would be a problem if the people who came after us were even noisier, so we decided to leave it as is without changing the location.

場所変えてくださいとか言いに行くのも面倒だしね。
It’s a hassle to go and ask them to change locations.

浅間山が現れた。
Mt. Asama appeared.

設営開始。
Started setting up.

いつも通り、ガイロープ固定側はシベリアンヒッチで調整側はトートラインヒッチ。
As usual, the guy rope fixed side is a Siberian hitch and the adjustable side is a tote line hitch.

キャンプでのロープワークはこの2つさえ覚えてれば大丈夫。
As long as you remember these two things, you will be fine with rope work at camp.

今回テントの中で過ごすことが多くなるお籠りキャンプなので、入口を浅間山の方に向けた。

お肉すぐに冷めちゃいそうだから、一旦カットしたらスキレットに戻して保温しながら食べよう。

I just remembered,

マイ暖を使った感想だけど、
As for my impressions after using My-Dan,

マイ暖は電気ストーブより暖かいと思う。
I think it is warmer than an electric stove.

ただ、外はそれ程寒くないから、まだなんとも言えないけどね。
However, it’s not that cold yet, so I can’t say anything yet.
